KBAUL: At least 10 Taliban rebels were killed and three others were wounded during latest operations conducted by the Afghan security forces in southern Kandahar province in the past 24 hours, ministry of defense said on Monday.
The Afghan security forces supported by the Afghan Air Forces, have conducted a crackdown against Taliban insurgents in Arghandab, Panjwaie and Maiwand districts, in which 10 Taliban rebels were killed and three others wounded, the ministry said in a statement.
Three mines with some weapons were also destroyed.
Also, the Afghan security forces targeted a Taliban car bombing before reaching the target and saved lives of many civilians, the statement added.
