AT-KABUL: At least 94 Taliban fighters were killed and 24 others wounded in different offensives in the past 24 hours, the security organs said Saturday.
“Afghan National Army in collaboration with Afghan National Police and National Directorate of Security conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areas of Nangarhar, Laghman, Khost and Helmand provinces,” defense ministry said in a statement. “In these operations, 94 rebels were killed and 24 others injured.”
Unfortunately, two soldiers were killed in the operations, it added.
20 suspected insurgents were arrested by the army, according to the statement.
ANA discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.
