AT-KABUL: Some 100,000 saplings will be planted in four farms in southern Nangarhar province under the auspices of the Canal Project, said officials on Sunday. Four farms with 100,000 plants including 10,000 citrus seedlings will be built in the province.
In a statement, head of the Nangarhar Canal Project Ghulam Hazrat Abdul Rahimzai said that they were implementation a plan to expand citrus gardens in the province, thus 10,000 citrus saplings will be planted in the areas where the project is to be implemented.
The citrus saplings will be transferred to many parts of Nangarhar for plantation, in a bid to foster citrus gardens in the province. Moreover, the Canal department is planning to plant 85,000 fruit and barren plants in four farms of the canal, he said.
