KABUL: At least 11 civilians were killed and four others were wounded in two separate roadside bomb blasts in insecure Jalrez district of central Maidan Wardak province, provincial officials confirmed on Tuesday.
Women and children are among the fatalities.
A bus and a Toyota Corolla-model car, both were carrying passengers from to Waras district of central Bamyan province, when were hit by two roadside bomb blast in an insecure part of the province.
“In this unfortunate incidents 11 civilians including children and women were killed and another four were injured” Muhammad Offyani, provincial police spokesman told Afghanistan Times.
Head of the provincial hospital, Salim Asgharkhil said that the victims were evacuated to the health center for treatment.
No groups, including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
This is as Afghanistan witnessing an appalling level of violence and two days ago 15 civilians were killed and over 150 others wounded in a car bombing in western Ghor province.
