KABUL: At least 14 insurgents have been killed and 10 others received injures during crackdowns conducted by the Afghan security forces in western Farah province, security officials said Sunday.
The Afghan National Police conducted clearance operation since three days in different villages of Posht Rod district, in which five militants were killed and five others wounded. “Madagan and Tap-e-Shiran villages were also cleared from presence of insurgents”, Provincial Police Spokesman Mohaibullah Mohib said.
He said 19 roadside mines planted by the enemy also discovered and neutralized in the mentioned district.
Similarly, eight insurgents were killed and four others wounded during Afghan forces ambush in Kenahkan and Nawbahar villages, he added.
Moreover, the Afghan security forces fired a rocket striking the enemy’s stronghold in Shakh Bala and Paian, one militant was killed and another wounded, the spokesman added.
