KABUL: Off 572 suspected patients, the ministry of public health said that 159 of them were tested positive for covid-19 within the past 24 hours.
The ministry in a statement said on Friday that the total tally of the coronavirus patients in the country surpasses 35,229.
At least 32 patients have lost their lives battling the virus and 327 others recovered during this period, the statement added.
The death totally has reached to 1,147 and the recoveries to 23,208, according to the ministry.
The ministry once again called on the citizens to take the spread of the pandemic virus seriously and behold precautionary measures, social distance and health recommendation to prevent the further damage of the virus on the society.
Based on latest information, over 13.9 million around the world have been infected with the virus, from which over 590,000 patients have lost their lives to this pandemic.
