AT-KABUL: Within the last one week, 16 drug smugglers including two women had been arrested in different parts of the country, the counter-narcotics special tribunal said Wednesday.
“The smugglers were arrested from Kabul, Baghlan, Nangarhar and Kandahar provinces and they were involved in 11 cases of contrabands,” the court said in a statement.
Police seized and confiscated a large number of narcotics, some vehicles and a rocket-propelled grenade in the smugglers’ hideouts and they were introduced to the relevant judiciary organs for more investigations.
Criminal Justice Task Force said that some smugglers’ cases were referred to the counter court against narcotic and investigation is going on.
