AT-KABUL: At least 21 fighters loyal to the Daesh terrorist group were killed and 13 others wounded during air and ground raids in the eastern province of Nangarhar, according to security officials.
“The Daesh fighters were killed in airstrike and ground assaults carried out by Afghan forces in Achin district of Nangarhar province,” Ministry of Interior said Sunday in a statement.
It also said that a number of their hideouts were destroyed during the operations in the district.
“Weapons and ammunition left behind from Daesh fighters in battle site seized by Afghan forces.”
No casualties incurred to civilian in the operations in the district.
