AT News Report-KABUL: At least 21 Taliban fighters were killed and 12 others wounded during a series of operations carried out by the army’s Special Forces in northern Kunduz province.
“21 Taliban insurgents including seven group leaders were killed during army special forces operations in Esa khil village of Chahardara district and Shekhiha, Sayed Meran and Jangal Bashi district of Khanabad district of Kunduz province,” a statement released by Ministry of Defense said.
The statement added that 12 Taliban fighters including Taliban local commanders Mullah Badar, Sarhadi and Momtaz were wounded during operation in the districts.
Three suspects were also arrested by army forces during operation, added statement.
Some 75 fire grenade bomb, four cannon bullet, five mine with two Taliban strongholds were destroyed during operation in the districts, underlined the statement.
