KABUL: At least 24 fighters loyal to Daesh were killed and three others wounded during raids in eastern Nangarhar provinces within past 24 hours, officials said Saturday.
“24 fighters loyal to Daesh were killed and three others were wounded during ground and air raid in Achin and HaskaMeena districts of Nangarhar,” said a press statement issue by Nangarhar provincial press office.
Afghan Special Forces has conducted operations in Mazdaki area of Achin district, which resulted at killing of nine Daesh fighters and their bodies left in battle site, added the statement.
Statement said that at the meantime airstrike has targeted Daesh fighters in Batan and Shindel area of Achin district and killed eight Daesh fighters.
Seven Daesh fighters also were killed and three others wounded in separate airstrike has been conducted in Haska Meena district, mentioned statement.
Some ammunition cache belonged to Daesh were destroyed as well during airstrikes in the districts, underlined the statement.
