AT-KABUL: Three passengers were killed and 22 others injured in a traffic accident on the Kabul-Kandahar highway in southern Ghazni province on Wednesday, said official sources.
The provincial traffic chief Mohammadullah Ahmadi told media that the incident took place in Aziz Kala area, where a truck collided with a passenger bus, killing three people on the spot and wounding 18 others. The victims were shifted to the nearby hospital, he added.
Meanwhile, civil hospital director Baz Mohammad Himmat said that at least three people were dead and 22 injured in the accident.
Insecurity and accidents in the country have claimed dozens of civilians lives this year. Reckless driving also caused accidents.
