KABUL: Ministry of Interior (MoI) on Monday said the Counter Narcotics Police (CNP) cell has seized at least 30 pistols during a crackdown conducted in Kabul.

The ministry in a statement said CNP has carried out a search operation in Deh Sabz district of Kabul, in which discovered and seized 30 pistols which were illegally hidden.

The pistols were recovered from a vehicle hidden in its compartments, the statement added.

Two suspects were arrested in connection of smuggling these weapons, the statement added.
