AT-KABUL: Police have detained 32 smugglers of drug and alcohol in different provinces, the Criminal Justice Task Force said Monday.
“Police identified and arrested the smugglers in Kabul, Herat, Uruzgan, Zabul, Parwan, Helmand, Nangarhar, Faryab, Paktia, Kapisa, Logar, Kunduz, Jawzjan and Samangan provinces,” it said in a statement.
“More than 168 kilograms of heroin, 354 kilograms of opium, 5.5 tons of cannabis, five tons of chemicals and 3,500 liters of alcohol were seized in the operations.”
63 smugglers were arrested and introduced to judicial organs in December 2015, according to the Criminal Justice Task Force.
