AT News Report-KABUL: Thirty-three flights, carrying 20 metric tons of goods, from Afghanistan to India have taken place since the launch of the Afghanistan-India air corridor in June until November 5, the Presidential Palace said on Monday.
The 33rd flight departed at 10:50a.m. from the Kabul International Airport for Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, the presidential palace said in a statement.
The process of transferring goods to India via the air corridor program continued on a regular basis and program’s success resulted in strong coordination and cooperation amongst government entities, the ACCI, and the private sector.
“We therefore, entered into the very optimal stage in which we have almost solved most of the challenges ahead of the program. The operation of the flights we recently conducted were in a very smooth and standard manner,” the statement said.
