KABUL: Ministry of Interior on Wednesday said the Counter Narcotics Cell have arrested 34 suspects in connection of drug trafficking in southern Kandahar province.
These traffickers were detained by Counter Narcotics Police in a fresh crackdown in Kandahar airport, said the interior ministry in a statement.
The detained indicts placed narcotics in their abdomen and planned to transfer it to India through Kandahar airport, the ministry said, adding the police identified and arrested them before reaching their target.
Around 21kg narcotics have discovered and confiscated from arrested drug runners, the statement added.
