AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) said that 37 Daesh and al-Qaeda fighters were killed during operations conducted by intelligence forces across the country in the past one week.
Intelligence operatives with the cooperation of the NATO-led Resolute Support troops conducted operations against Daesh and al-Qaeda fighters in Nangarhar, Paktia, Logar, Kunduz, Helmand, Farah, Paktika, Zabul, Kandahar and Kapisa provinces in the past one week, it said Tuesday.
“37 Daesh and al-Qaeda forces were killed and three others were arrested through mentioned ground and air attacks.”
The intelligence agency said it also arrested 31 terrorists during operations.
Four centers of terrorists were eliminated and enough weapons and ammunition left in battle site seized by NDS forces, noted the statement.
