KABUL: At least four people lost their lives and three others received injuries in two separate traffic accidents in northern Samangan province, an official said on Friday.
Provincial Police Spokesperson Munir Rahimi said two motorcyclists died when their bike collided with a lorry on Thursday evening in the Dilkhuki tunnel of the provincial capital of Aibak.
Meanwhile, two people were killed and three others were wounded when their vehicle veered off the road due to high speed elsewhere in the Larghan area of Aibak.
Rahimi said both accidents occurred as a result of high speed and recklessness on the part of the drivers.
