AT News Report-KABUL: The number of human trafficking cases has been raised high in western Ghor province where 45 such cases are being documented this year, the provincial justice department chief said on Tuesday.
Addressing a seminar on “Awareness about human trafficking” held in Firozkoh, Ghor’s capital, Abdul Jabbar Raji slammed the government for its negligence—a matter of great concern to prevent human trafficking in the province.
He said all the cases in Ghor were resolved by the local residents and local tribal elders, adding the provincial government and police force had played zero roles in detaining the human traffickers or rescuing the victims.
Moreover, Provincial information and culture director, Fakhruddin Aryapor, also expressed serious concerns about the increased rate of human trafficking incidents. He said insurgents of terrorist groups have been involved in most of such cases.
“Militants traffic children most of the times to train them in internal or foreign countries for terrorist activities”, he added.
