AT-KABUL: At least 54 Taliban militants have been killed and 35 others wounded in nationwide military offensives conducted by Afghan security forces over the past 24 hours.
The Ministry of Interior (MoI) in a press release issued on Saturday said that Afghan National Police (ANP) in collaboration with Afghan National Army (ANA) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) operatives conducted military operations against insurgents in different areas of Nangarhar, Takhar, Kunduz, Kandahar, Oruzgan, Logar, Ghazni, Paktiya and Helmand provinces. Some 54 rebels were killed and 35 others injured during the operations.
ANP also recovered a number of weapons and ammunitions during the offensives.
