KABUL: Six Taliban militants have been killed as result of a drone strike in Nangarhar province, local officials said Wednesday.
Nangarhar Police Spokesman, Hazrat Hussain Mashreqiwal, said the group was bombed Tuesday evening in Achin district of the province by the US unmanned aerial vehicle. Six militants including their commander, Rahman Khan, were killed on the spot. The militant group was responsible for conducting armed attacks in the district against security forces. However, Taliban has not commented on the incident.
