At Monitoring Desk-KABUL: As many as 60 Taliban insurgents have been killed and 14 others sustained injuries during the military operations in various parts of the country, said the Ministry of Defense (MoD) on Friday.
The MoD spokesman Brig. Gen. Dawlat Waziri told Pajhwok Afghan News that the insurgents have suffered casualties in a series of military operations throughout the country, adding 60 insurgents were killed and 14 other were injured in the offensives.
According to Waziri, the militants suffered casualties during the operations launched in 13 provinces. In addition four terrorists were arrested during the operations, he said.
Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the possession of the militants in the raids, which also featured the Afghan National Army (ANA) commando units.
Waziri said the security forces did not suffer any casualties.
