AT-KABUL: At least 65 militants were killed and 46 others were wounded in different crackdowns within past 24 hours.
In a press release issued here, Ministry of Defense, (MoD)said that Afghan National Army (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan National Police (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) personal has conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areas in Nangarhar, Paktia, Paktika, Logar, Ghazni, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Ghor, Badghis, Balkh, Jawzjan, Faryab, Kunduz, Badakhshan, Baghlan, and Helmand provinces.
Statement said that in these operations 65 insurgents including four Daesh affiliates were killed and 46 others were injured.
During these operations in the past 24 hours, Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies’ positions by artilleries and air force
During these operations, 27 Taliban terrorists were killed and 19 other were wounded in Nadali district and Bushran area center of Helmand province, 13 insurgents were killed in Maiwand district of Kandahar province, 12 rebels were killed and 16 other wounded and a Taliban stronghold destroyed in Imam district of Kunduz, six insurgents including four Daesh affiliates were killed and seven other Daesh fighter were wounded in Batikot and Deh Bala district of eastern Nangarhar province.
Similarly, four insurgents killed in Guzra district of Herat, two Taliban fighters were killed and four others were wounded in Andar and Ajristan district of Ghazni and one killed and seven others were wounded in Mohammad Agha district of Logar province.
In past 24 hours, 14 planed clearing operations, nine Special Forces operations conducted in 13 provinces; also, Air forces conducted 81 aerial operations supporting Afghan National army including seven strikes on enemy’s sanctuaries.
ANA discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.
