AT-KABUL: Seventy-one militants were killed and 39 others were received injuries in different crackdowns within past 24 hours across the country, security officials said on Saturday.
In a press release issued here, the Ministry of Defense said that Afghanistan National Army (ANA) in collaboration with the Afghan National police (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) personnel conducted operations against insurgents in different areas of Kandahar, Helmand, Uruzgan, Kunar, Herat, Badghis, Paktia, and Nangarhar provinces, in which 71 militants were killed and 39 others wounded.
Unfortunately, six army soldiers were killed during operation by enemy firing, the statement said.
The statement added that the Afghan National Army forces are prepared for all kinds of devotion and with all force to maintain security and comfort for the people of Afghanistan.
