AT News Report-KABUL: At least 74 militants were killed and 49 others were wounded in different crackdowns within past 24 hours.
In a statement, Ministry of Defense, said that Afghan National Army with the cooperation of the Afghan National Police and National Directorate of Security, conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areas of Kunar, Ghzani, Paktia, Farah, Balkh, Jawzjan, Faryab, Kunduz, Baghlan, and Helmand provinces.
The statement said that in these operations 74 insurgents were killed and 49 others were injured.
Afghan forces arrested two rebels during operations and handed over them to judicial organs for further inquiry.
During these operations in the past 24 hours, Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies’ positions by artilleries and air force
During these operations, 29 terrorist killed, three wounded and two others arrested in Giro district of Ghazni, 24 Taliban fighters killed and 16 others wounded in Posthroad and Khak-e-Safid district of Farah and 10 Taliban insurgents killed in Jaji Aryob district of Paktia.
Similar, eight insurgents killed in Garmsir district of Helmand and three Pakistani terrorist killed in Marawara district of Kunar province.
In past 24 hours, 13 planed clearing operations, 19 Special Forces operations conducted in nine provinces; also, Air forces conducted 91 aerial operations supporting Afghan National army including nine strikes on enemy’s sanctuaries.
ANA discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.
