82 new covid-19 infections registered in last 24 hours

KABUL: Afghanistan has recorded 82 new positive cases of Coronavirus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 40,369 cases throughout the country, the Ministry of Public Health said Tuesday.

These cases come positive out of 398 suspected samples, 32 new cases were recorded in Herat, 14 in Takhar, seven in Balkh, six in Kabul, six in Daykundi, four in Kunduz, four in Kunar, three in Logar, two in Laghman, two in Kandahar, one in Parwan and one in Panjshir provinces.

Two patients have lost their lives battling the virus and 30 others have fully recovered during this period, according to the ministry.

The total recoveries exceeded to 33,790 and the deaths to 1,499 across the country.
