This is not the first time that Afghanistan Times workers has come under attack. We have received threats from different groups in the past.
Taliban attack the Afghanistan Times distributer, Abdul Wahed Qazizada. The incident occurred in the highly secured Afghan capital on early Monday morning, 20 May 2020.
As he was distributing the paper to an office related to the US embassy, as well as the embassies of Saudi Arabia and India at a safe neighborhood of Kabul.
The incident took place, after he left the newspaper office to take the paper to the mentioned embassies. “On my way to the embassies, three gunmen opened fire at my car after I refused to stop as they raised hand to me. Three bullets broke the glasses, of my Suzuki model car, I managed to escape and I was slightly injured,” Mr Qazizada said.
Qazizada sustained injuries in the attack. Fortunately, he is in stable condition.
However, it is not the first time that Afghanistan times workers have come under attack. They were repeatedly threatened by different groups of terrible consequences.
