AT Kabul:
According to media reports Authorities in Pakistan said today two separate militant attacks in the country’s northwest had killed at least eight security forces.
An early morning ambush of a security vehicle in Lakki Marwat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province killed six members of the police force.
Police officials said the slain cops were conducting a routine patrol when two gunmen on a motorcycle sprayed their vehicle with bullets and managed to flee.
Provincial authorities condemned the attack as a “cowardly act” and said a search operation was underway to apprehend the perpetrators.
An outlawed extremist group, the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, TTP, claimed responsibility for the deadly shooting. In a statement sent to reporters, the group said the police unit was ambushed on the way to a counter-TTP raid.
Meanwhile there is another report that 3 Pakistani soldiers killed in a midnight attack in bajaur area of KPK.
