AT-KABUL: At least 93 militants were killed and23others wounded in multiple extensive military crackdowns within past 24 hours.

In a press release issued here, Ministry of Defense, (MoD) said that Afghan NationalArmy (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan NationalPolice (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) personal has conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areas ofNangarhar, Kapisa, Ghazni, Logar, Paktika, Urzgan, Farah, Faryab, Baghlan, Takhar, Badakhshan and Helmand provinces.

Statement said that in these operations93insurgents including 19 Daesh fighters were killed and 23others wounded.

Afghan National and Defense Security forces shelled and bombed the enemies’ positions and sanctuaries by artilleries and air forces.

During these operations in the past 24 hours,42 Taliban fighters were killed and one wounded in Ajristan, Waghiz and Deh Yak district of Ghazni, 23 insurgents were killed and nine others wounded in Chora and Khas Urzgan districts of Urzgan, 19 Daesh fighters were killed and two stronghold belonged to them were destroyed in Nangarhar provinces.

Similar,eight rebels were killed and five others wounded in Posh Rod district of Farah, one militants were killed in Nadali district of Helmand and eight terrorists were killed in Paktika and Badakhshan provinces.

In past 24 hours,nineplaned clearing operations,and 83 Special Forcesoperations conducted in differentprovinces; also, Air forces conducted113aerial operations supporting Afghan National army including13strikes on enemy’s sanctuaries.

ANAdiscovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations as well.

ANA as the nation’s defense forces are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
