AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: The first deputy speaker of the Wolesi Jirga or the Lower House of Parliament, Zahir Qadir, alleged that the government was backing Daesh.
He claimed that the government only targets the Taliban when the insurgent group attacks Deash fighters in Nangarhar.
During Monday’s session, he said that when there is a clash between the two groups, Taliban are the only target of the government forces.
He expressed concerns over the deteriorating security situation in Nangarhar, and alleged that the government has issued cards to the people who belong to Lashkar-e-Islam, a militant outfit which was established in Khyber Agency a few years ago.
He said that 90 percent of the group’s fighters have been fighting in Nazyan and Achin districts, adding that the security forces recovered government-issued cards from a number of militants killed during clashes.
He also stressed on the issue of helicopter and urged the government for a fair probe. The first deputy speaker said that the findings must be shared with the international community.
A week ago, the residents of Hejrat village of Surkh Rud district of Nangarhar, claimed that a helicopter hovered on their village and later dropped a number of people wearing black outfits.
