By Akhtar M. Nikzad-KABUL: The Lower House and Upper House of parliament on Tuesday appreciated former intelligence director Rahmatullah Nabil for his efforts in security improvement during his tenure.
Lower House speaker Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi said that Nabil fulfilled his job truthfully in tough and critical condition.
“Legislators are proud to present their appreciations to the sincere son of the country for his admirable efforts in security section,” he mentioned.
Meanwhile, tens of lawmakers asked the government to nominate an experienced person for the chief of National Directorate of Security to.
Nabil thanked the legislators, and said he could not fulfill his programs in security improvement, while he did his best despite some obstacles.
Nabil disclosed the secret of memorandum of understanding on intelligence sharing with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence when he held the intelligence chief post.
Now, the National Directorate of Security is managed by a caretaker for some three months and government has not introduced any new nominee for the post.
