AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Interior Minister Noorulhaq Ulumi has sacked some police officers over the two security incidents took place in Kabul, the ministry said in a statement.
“The officials were dismissed over a rocket attack near Italian embassy and torching a girls’ school in Kabul city earlier this week,” it said.
Ulumi sacked high ranking police officers in PD12 and PD9 over the negligence in their duties, calling for a probe to both incidents, statement added.
A girls’ school was set in fire in PD12 and the rocket was reportedly landed in PD9.
Both incidents were occurred on Sunday. The rocket attack damaged parts of the embassy compound. Also, a man killed the watchman of the school and set it in fire in Arzan Qimat neighborhood.
