AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) operatives have arrested two insurgents before they plant landmines in southern Kandahar province, the NDS said.
A statement issued here by the NDS the other day, stated that the militants were identified as Saleh Mohammad son of Sayed Mohammad from Kandahar city and Abdul Wali son of Peer Mohammad a native of Marjah district, Helmand province.
The statement furthered that the arrested terrorists had been involved in several deadly attacks in Kandahar city.
The statement added that NDS operatives also seized three landmines, bomb-making devices, pistols and a motorcycle from the terrorists.
The statement did not specify the date of the arrest.
Kandahar as the birthplace of the Taliban is one of the unsafe provinces in the south, where the insurgents carry out attacks against the people.
