AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Tuesday said that six terror groups were busted in different provinces within the past two weeks.
In a press statement issued here, the intelligence agency said that its operatives have successfully broken up six terror groups during crackdowns in Logar, Kandahar, Helmand, Faryab, Takhar and Paktika provinces.
According to the statement, 21 suspects linked to terrorism and religion extremism were arrested. The spy agency also arrested two would-be suicide bombers. Three kidnappers and five scammers were also among the detained people.
The NDS has recovered explosives, light and heavy weapons and landmines, in huge quantity, from the suspects.
