AT-KABUL: The culture ministry has started an awareness campaign to prevent the youth from escaping abroad, an official in the ministry said Saturday.
“The awareness campaign would be run nationwide through schools, universities, mosques and civil societies to open youth’s minds about threats facing through illegal travelling to abroad,” said deputy culture minister Kamal Sadat.
He said at a press conference that those youth escaping the country with the aim of getting access to luxurious life, face different threats and even death threats on their way to Europe.
“The illegal passengers are residing in camps with no facilities, while a number of them have been deported back home” Sadat said. “Thus, they are requested to be aware of all threats and should not be deceived by human smugglers.”
The youth have the chance of having comfortable life inside the country, not in abroad, he asserted.
Sadat highlighted that the ministry works closely with security organs to arrest human smugglers, a way to struggle with the youth’s escape.
We will provide education, health facility as well as struggle to provide job opportunities for those youth deported from abroad, he noted.
He said that the government struggles to provide job opportunities for the youth inside the country and in abroad in the near future.
Zahra Qarizadah, another official of the culture ministry called the youth a good work force in the country and they should stay home and lead it the country toward development.
It is pertained to mention that tens of thousands of people have left Afghanistan to abroad in the past one year due to insecurity and jobless issues.
