AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: The Qaumi Watan Party (QWP) chief, Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao asked Kabul and Islamabad to overwhelm bilateral distrust and join hands to combat terrorism. He said that development of the region was linked to peace and stability. At a reception in Peshawar, he warned that Afghanistan and Pakistan would continue to suffer if failed to resolve key problems.
He termed the engagement of all stakeholders significant to help improve the status quo.
The former interior minister said that despite strong optimism about progress when President Ashraf Ghani came to power, later the relations of the two countries were hit with mistrust.
He added that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa residents had suffered a lot in the war on terror.
He called for more attention to the province aimed at erasing the sense of deprivation among the people.
