AT-KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai “strongly” condemned the US airstrike in which civilians were killed in Paktika province, his office said Saturday.

“Karzai expresses concerns over civilian casualties, and strongly condemns the US drone strike on Barmal district that left a number of civilians killed and injured,” it said in a statement.

Karzai has said such attacks would result strong reactions of Afghans, according to the statement.
