AT-KABUL: The Afghan security forces in different crackdowns against Taliban insurgents during 24 hours, had killed eighty-seven Taliban fighters. In addition ninety-one militants received injuries during operations.
The Ministry of Defense (MoD) in a press statement said that Afghan National Army (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan National Police (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) personal shave conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areas of Kunar, Nangarhar, Kapisa, Paktia, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Uruzgan, Badghis, Kandahar, Farah, Balkh, Jawzjan, Faryab, Baghlan, Kunduz, and Helmand provinces, in which eighty-seven rebels were killed and ninety-one others were injured.
Unfortunately, seven ANA soldiers were also killed in exchange firings during operations, the statement lamented.
However, the statement furthered that ANA had discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition during operations.
