AT-KABUL: Afghan security forces in the past 24 hours killed at least 48 militants during several military operations across the country, the Ministry of Defense on Friday said in a media statement.
The Afghan National Security and Defense Forces in past 24 hours launched several crackdowns against insurgents in Nangarhar, Laghman, Kabul, Paktia, Kandahar, Badghis, Baghlan, Balk, Jawzjan, Faryab, Kunduz and Helmand province, in which at least 48 militants were killed, the statement added.
According to the statement, three insurgents were killed in Kandahar, 25 militants including six Daesh fighters in Nangarhar and Paktiak provinces while 13 others were killed in Kunduz and Baghlan provinces. However, 10 Afghan National Army were also killed in the operations, the statement lamented. Seven militants were also received injuries during raids, the statement added.
