AT-KABUL: Afghan security forces in the past 24 hours killed at least seventy eight Taliban militants during several military operations across the country, the Ministry of Defense said Sunday in a statement.
The Afghan National Security and Defense Forces in the past 24 hours, launched several operations against Taliban insurgents in a number of the districts of Kunar, Nangarhar, Laghman, Wardak, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Zabul, Balkh, Herat, Jowzjan, Kunduz,Takhar and Helmand provinces, according to the statement.
“At least seventy eight militants including three commanders and four foreign nationals were killed, dozens were wounded and six were arrested,” the statement added.
No casualties of the security forces have been reported, according to the statement.
