AT-KABUL: Afghan security forces in the past 24 hours killed at least thirty eight Taliban militants during several military operations across the country, the Ministry of Defense said Monday in a statement.
The Afghan National Security and Defense Forces in the past 24 hours, launched several operations against Taliban insurgents in a number of the districts of Kunar, Nangarhar, Wardak, Ghazni, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Zabul, Balkh, Herat, Ghor, Balkh, Jowzjan, Kunduz, Takhar, Baghlan, Kabul, Laghman, Paktia, Farah and Helmand provinces, according to the statement.
“At least thirty eight militants were killed and 45 others were injured and one was also arrested and handed over to relevant judicial authorities for further investigation,” the statement added.
Unfortunately, six army soldiers were also martyred in the operation during exchange firings, the statement said.
