AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Two border police officers were killed when a roadside bomb struck their vehicle in the Jawin district of western Farah province, an official said on Sunday.
“The incident took place in Tapa-i-Khwaharan locality near the border with Iran at around 05:00pm on Saturday,” district chief Samad Yar told Pajhwok Afghan News.
“Four vehicles border policemen were patrolling in the area, when one vehicle struck a roadside bomb,” Mir Wali, border police chief told Pajhwok.
This comes when a week ago four army soldiers were killed in a roadside explosion in the province.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility from militant groups, including the Taliban insurgents, who often take credit for such attacks.
