AT-KABUL: Two senior Taliban leaders including nine insurgents were killed in a conflict in the southern Uruzgan province, security official said on Sunday.
The senior Taliban leaders are included the group’s designated provincial governor, Maulavi Jan Aghan and military commission chief Asadullah, a statement from the 205th Atal Corps of the Afghan National Army said.
In addition to that, five Taliban insurgents were injured, the statement said, adding that five improvised explosive devices were also seized.
The operation was conducted by the Afghan National Army in Chora and Khas Uruzgan districts, the statement added.
