AT-KABUL: At least 18 insurgents, loyal to the Islamic State, known as Daesh were killed in an airstrike carried out in eastern Nangarhar province on Monday, security officials said.
In addition to that, 11 Daesh fighters were injured in the raid.
Daesh militants were targeted in the Kot district of the province, where the group termed some areas of the district as their safe hideouts.
In a media statement issued here, the Ministry of Defense, said that in the air operation a vehicle belonging to the Daesh fighters was also destroyed.
Previously, eight fighters, loyal t the Islamic State, also known as Daesh were killed after the Afghan Air Forces conducted an air raid in Achin district of eastern Nangarhar province.
Daesh fighters were busy devising evil designs, when the Afghan Air Forces targeted them in their hideout.
