By Akhtar M. Nikzad-KABUL: In wake of increasing abduction and killing of passengers and accelerating of conflicts in Helmand and Uruzgan and Baghlan provinces, Wolesi Jirga is to summon the high profile security to offer information about indicators of terror and insecurities.
In the past one month, people witnessed several abduction and killing of passengers in Kandahar-Kabul highway and Kunduz-Kabul road.
Conflict between Taliban fighters and the security forces in different parts of the country particularly in Helmand province were another matter of concern.
Speaker of Lower House Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi said that high security officials would be obligated to offer details about the major factors of insecurity and threats of armed insurgent to lawmakers.
“Next Wednesday Taj Mohammad Jahid, interior minister, Mohammad Masoom Stanekzai, caretaker of National Directorate of Security and acting minister of defense Abdullah Khan well attend to the assembly to give details about insecurity,” he said.
MPs termed calmness of human rights commissions about abduction and killing of messengers intolerable and said that tens of civilian messengers were killing and abducted by Taliban insurgents but the human right bodies were silent.
“When government execute a criminal, then all the human rights watchdogs criticize, but when Taliban insurgents kill tens of innocent messengers in the high ways they are silent,” said MP, Nazifa Zaki.
So far people hardly pass the country’s highways and they ask government to pay attention on security of the highways.
