AT-KABUL: As many as 37 Taliban insurgents were killed, 40 injured and 25 others arrested in Jawzjan province in an operation launched by the Afghan National Security Forces, said provincials spokesman.
Provincial spokesman Mohammad Reza Ghafori told media on Tuesday that Afghan National Army, Afghan National Police in cooperating with National Directorate of Security launched multiple clearing operations against armed insurgents in different areas of Jawzjan province.
He said that in the raid 37 Taliban insurgents were killed 40 wounded and 25 other detained by the Afghan security forces.
He added the in the mentioned operation five group leaders of Taliban also arrested. “Many of the enemies were killed in the ambush of Afghan security forces,” he asserted.
