AT-KABUL: At least twenty one Taliban insurgents were killed and three others wounded in different crackdowns of the Afghan security forces within past 24 hours, security officials said on Wednesday.
In a press release issued here, the Ministry of Defense, (MoD) said that Afghan National Army (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan National Police (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) personals were launched a joint operations against insurgents in different areas of Nangarhar, Ghazni, Kandahar, Urzgan, Heart, Kunduz, Takhar and Helmand provinces, in which 21 insurgents including a Taliban shadow judge killed and three other received injuries.
During operation, one rebel was detained and handed over to judicial organs for further inquiry, the statement said, adding that ANA discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition in the operations.
Unfortunately, four army soldier were also killed during fight against the enemies of Afghanistan, the statement lamented.
