AT-KABUL: The president-ordered fact-finding commission on Tuesday started to investigate Saturday’s bloody terrorist attacks against the Enlightening Movement members who had gathered in Dehmazang area of Kabul to protest for their civil rights.
Attorney General Mohammad Farid Hamidi who heads the commission, told reporters that the commission would conduct extensive investigations about the reasons of the attack.
He vowed that the investigations would be square, fair and transparent.
Chief Executive Abdullah Abdullah also promised that the commission would investigate the terrorist attacks against the protesters.
“I give promise that the commission will search all sides of the bloody incident attack,” Abdullah vowed.
Hundreds of supporters of the Enlighten Movement conducted protests for justice Saturday in Dehmazang, but were attacked by two Daesh suicide bombers.
In these deadly attacks, more than 80 people were killed and 30 others injured.
Lawmaker Ghulam Hussian Naseri said that the fact finding commission would betray the people and would not have any positive result except wasting the time.
He alleged that the government had frequently made cold reactions by establishment of joint commission and it was a best option for government to cheat of people.
“Government has good experiences about establishment of commission as people witnessed of several commission we were observer a particularly commission about calliopes of Kunduz province, but had not any positive result for people and still people are in darkness,” he asserted.
