AT-KABUL: Political Parties and Civil Societies representatives on Tuesday urged the government leaders to accomplish commitments made during electoral campaigns.
“The national unity government leaders must run constitutional Loya Jirga and electoral reforms as they committed during first days of the establishment,” said Omar Ayyar, head of the Unite Afghanistan Party.
He criticized the insecurity and unemployment, saying that the government must address mentioned issues as soon as possible.
Ayyar insisted: “our party supports peace process with those who really want peace.”
He asked the government to seriously probe the fall of Kunduz to Taliban.
Head of the National Peace Party Shah Mahmood Popal said that insecurity in the past 15 years, has internal and external dimensions.
Pointing to peace deal with Hezb-e-Islami Afghanistan, Popal expressed support from the peace agreement.
Criticizing Nejat-e-Mili Leader Sebghatullah Mujaddedi for standing against the immunity to Hezb-e-Islami’s leader Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, Popal said that reaching peace is a long dream for Afghan people, thus it should be supported.
Political parties and civil society representative also asked the government to exert utmost efforts for running of Parliamentary and Provincial council election.
