AT-KABUL: At least sixty-five insurgents including twelve Daesh fighters were killed and fifty others wounded in different operations lunched by the Afghan security forces across the county within past 24 hours, security officials said on Tuesday.
In a press release issued here, the Ministry of Defense, said that the national army with the cooperation of the national police and the National Directorate of Security, conducted clearance operations against insurgents in different districts of Nangarhar, Kunar, Ghazni, Paktia, Kandahar, Uruzgan, Farah, Ghor, Badghis, Kunduz, Baghlan, Sar-i-Pul, Faryab and Helmand provinces.
“In these operations, 65 insurgents including 12 Daesh terrorists were killed and 50 others injured,” the statement said.
In additional to that four Daesh terrorists including a commander were arrested in the operation.
“Unfortunately, 10 soldiers were also killed during clashes with the Taliban,” the statement added.
