By Farhad Naibkhel-KABUL: The Afghanistan Rescue National Movement (ARNM), a civil structure on Sunday criticized the government leaders and security officials for being inefficient, saying it as main factor behind fall of districts and check posts to Taliban across the country.
“Critical state of affairs, fall of districts and checkpoints to Taliban and joining of hundreds of Afghan forces to Taliban in different insecure provinces are the clear sign of ineffectiveness and mismanagement of the government leaders and security officials,” said Asef Baktash, head of the ARNM.
He said that bloody incidents were still going on in Helmand, Kunduz, Uruzgan, Baghlan, Farah and Badghis provinces.
“Assigning of undeserving figures in security posts could have such negative catastrophe consequences for people,” he added.
As people suffered enough in Kunduz, Helmand, Farah and other provinces recently, who is responsible?”
He highlighted that the existence of illegal armed groups are other threats, which the government did not take any step for solution.
“Corruption is another issue, increasing as much across the country,” Baktash claimed.
He said “patient is over”, asking the government to take practical steps to address all mentioned issues.
The ARNM asked the government to prosecute those figures who had neglected duty during fall of districts, clear security organs from political party influence, collect illegal arms and disband all illegal armed groups. Government must take step to prosecute big corruption cases, bring reform in electoral bodies, and root out governmental organs from corrupted and mafia figures.
Pointing to the linking of Kashmir issue with peace in Afghanistan by Pakistani officials, ARNM strongly condemned the remarks and asked the government for serious reaction.
The ARNM is a newly established civil structure, which its members comprised of political, civil activists and Afghan tribal.
